It wasn’t until I faced splitting siblings into two families to find homes, that I picked up a camera. I took a photo to show their love where words had failed. That 1 image found them a home where I and my fostering team had tried for over a year. Showing and having children hear the love they are promised became part of my purpose.
No parent wants a secret at the heart of their relationship but finding those words can sometimes be hard. Working with adopted and fostered children who often do not know their past, I feel the agony of their untold story. Telling hard truths in a gentle way is part of what I have done for 20 years.
“Nan's body, I'm sorry, stopped working, it’s no one’s fault that she died.
I believe you carry the strength of her love deep down inside.”
A referral program with Barnardo's, St. Andrews and local councils, means we provide complimentary bespoke poems to children and their new families explaining hard truths in gentle ways. This includes hair, makeup and a family portrait to show the love they have been promised, all packaged in a hard backed book. This vital work is supported by booking our photography service.
Donor conception is also used to grow families. We know from personal experience that while your Granny or Auntie might know how your child was created, telling your son or daughter might have you at a loss.
“Cause babies like families are made in all sorts of ways.
But they need seeds and eggs if you don’t want delays.”
We will work with you to create a life story book that is as unique as your family. Consultation, poem, design and book for £250, add a portrait package for a total of £400.
